In 1993, Shawn B.D. Smith, a veteran Police Officer in Southern Wisconsin, saw the choices and quality that were available to local companies and residents in the private security market. Shawn determined that he could create a much better alternative. Shawn’s vision was to build a security force of professionally trained, fully competent security and patrol officers. From this vision Midwest Patrol & Investigative (MPI) was born. Since 1993, MPI has far exceeded Shawn’s initial goals, expanding throughout Wisconsin, Iowa and Texas. MPI has become the leader in full scale, professional, reliable security services, covering all aspects of corporate, mobile armed response, professional investigation, and critical incident response.
